TWO PIECES - TANK AND STAND. I suppose one could also use this as a terrarium. DATING FROM THE TURN OF THE CENTURY - EARLY 1900'S? This was a recent discovery in a old carriage house and it was in storage for over 45 years.. There is no glass in the tank.The stand and tank are sturdy with their original paint that has formed a nice surface patina over the years. There is a tad of minor - minor light surface rust. I just mention for accuracy, not bad at all... Or even noticeable at first glance; it looks like it started life this way / Very - Very Nice! The colors are a simple black and gold.
